Work Experience Programme – Electronics and GNSS

Only one week will be offered per person please apply for only the weeks that you would be available.

5th-9th August 2024

Our Work Experience offers School Students the chance to spend one week, working alongside our experienced Engineers to get an insight into our world of Engineering, whilst gaining some new skills.

Key Tasks

We are thrilled to be able offer work experience here at SSTL for the summer of 2023. We are looking for Years 10 to 13 who have an interest in gaining valuable experience within the Space Industry.

During this week, students will receive a tour of SSTL and get the chance to get a real hands-on experience of what it is like to be working in the electrical engineering department and GNSS receivers department.

SSTL do not expect applicants to have any prior knowledge or previous experience within engineering but showing a keen interest in this direction of career is desirable.

SSTL endeavour to offer work experience to as many students as possible, therefore due to the high number of applicants we are unable to accept applications from students who have previously completed the programme.

Location

Work experience will be based in our head office in Guildford and will be Monday to Friday. Our office provides free parking, secure bike lock and easy access via shuttle bus from Guildford town centre and train station. We have an onsite (card only) canteen and ample tea and coffee stations throughout
