As Columbus EPIC Flight Controller (European Planning & Increment Coordination), you will prepare and execute Columbus mission operations in the framework of the ISS activities.

What You Will Focus on
- Preparation for and successful completion of the Columbus FCT Basic and EPIC training programs, culminating in certification as an EPIC/COMET Flight Controller
- Familiarization with the Columbus control centre's operating procedures
- Mission planning and operations support for the Columbus module
- As COMET Flight Controller, responsible for real time operational planning and experiment monitoring
- Operational planning coordination with user centres, flight control teams, and NASA planners
- Preparing for mission operations. The preparation is focused on the Columbus subsystems, while also taking into account the Col-CC facilities and the overall system
- Payload operation preparation with a focus on planning
- Support and development of new experiment operating concepts
- Support for the development of operating procedures that take into account the Columbus system's mission analysis interfaces
- Offline data collection, analysis and reporting
- Further development of the ISS/Columbus operating concepts for follow-up projects
What You Bring
- Engineering degree in Aerospace or related technical disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
- Proficient user of computer systems and MS Office suite
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
